Hands down one of my favorite wedding venues in Sodo is Within Sodo, a spot with an authentic character in the industrial area of Seattle. Former metal shop, storage and warehouse for furniture, the concept of the new design was to keep all the natural materials still alive and creating a “function through form” design.
Amy, a human resource specialist for Starbucks and Clint, an architect in the Seattle area tied the knot on a beautiful September day this past fall. First look took place in West Seattle by the beach at Lincoln Park, where the couple shared an emotional moment just the two of them under the Seattle sun, before we drove to the ceremony and reception site in Sodo.
I can’t emphasize enough – First Look is not only so darn special, but it also saves time on a wedding day, especially if the photo coverage is minimal, or the timeline is busy, OR the bridal parties and families are large, and they require more time to photograph due to the fact that the bigger the groups, the more choreography is needed.
Amy made a gorgeous bride wearing a dress from BHLDN Anthropologie, with the perfect amount of jewelry that complemented her dress and made her gorgeous blue eyes stand out even more. Hair and Makeup was done by Yessie Libby – IG: @yessielibby; Aside from the first look and the couple photos that we did outside, bridal party and family photos, as well as ceremony and reception took place indoors.
Definitely check out Within Sodo if you’re still looking for a venue, it’s definitely a spot with its own personality.
Book me for your 2018 or 2019 wedding, fill out the form HERE and tell me all about it! I’d love to hear from you!
